Dr. Lauren Hutson
Dr. Lauren Hutson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Neuroscience and Biology.
She completed her residency in central Texas at Baylor Scott and White, Texas A& M. Dr. Lauren Hutson believes healing is mental and physical, leading her to focus on prevention. However, she does manage chronic adult illness and disease processes serving as a Primary Care Provider.
She participated in various committees and research projects. After completion in 2020, at the height of the pandemic, she was called to give back to the community and work as a Hospitalist in an underserved area of New Mexico, where she managed critically ill patients for two years.
PATIENT SPECIALIST
Callie Jones
Callie is a South Austin native who takes pride in patient care, experience, and relationship-building. She brings over 15 years of medical industry experience, including managing an independent optometry practice, and is a certified optician with the American Board of Optometry.
Now part of the Austin Medicine team, Callie is excited to continue her education in American Sign Language Interpreting while working alongside Dr. Hutson. She looks forward to supporting patients on their unique healthcare journeys.
Outside of work, Callie enjoys the Hill Country with her two labs, Olive Rose and Ladybird, spending time with loved ones, and crafting for the holidays.

Sage Christensen
Sage is a Texas native who takes pride in compassionate patient care, adaptability, and building strong connections within her community. As a Registered Nurse, she brings hands on clinical experience and a calm, steady presence to every setting she serves. Earlier in her life, Sage pursued acting, developing a love for storytelling and human connection that continues to shape her approach to care.
During COVID, Sage stepped into a leadership role by running a touring health company, helping deliver critical services during an uncertain time. She is passionate about making healthcare accessible and responsive to the needs of the communities she serves.
Outside of work, Sage enjoys spending time in the Texas Hill Country, embracing the beauty, pace, and spirit that make it feel like home.

C. Randolph Cockerham
C. Randolph Cockerham is an Austinite with a passion for putting our patients first. She firmly believes that honoring patient satisfaction is a key factor in maintaining overall health.
She graduated from UTSA with a degree in Business Administration, and her organizational skills are outstanding. Patients will undoubtedly benefit from her expertise, especially when it comes to customer service. Prior to transitioning into healthcare, she served in a managerial role for over 5 years. Her primary work goal is to achieve 100% patient satisfaction, and she is committed to ensuring that billing, scheduling, and communication processes are of the highest quality.
Outside of work, C. enjoys spending quality time with her children and possesses a deep appreciation for Texas hill country wines, making her quite the connoisseur.
With her dedication to patient well-being and her valuable experience in both business and management, C. Randolph Cockerham is a valuable asset to our healthcare team.
FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER
Maria Dopel, FNP-C
Maria Dopel is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with a background in acute and chronic inpatient care as a registered nurse (RN). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lincoln Memorial University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Maria began her nursing career in vascular surgery and kidney transplant care at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked as a travel nurse across multiple states, gaining experience in a variety of inpatient settings. This period of her career encouraged a focus on root-cause and preventative medicine.
Her current clinical focus includes personalized primary care, functional medicine, and hormone optimization.

Josue Hernandez
Josue Hernandez is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, supporting business operations across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Throughout his career, Josue has developed extensive expertise in risk management, regulatory compliance, business operations, and strategic growth. He has played a key role in more than $25 million in acquisitions and supported the growth and financial operations of a financial services startup that was ultimately sold for more than $80 million.
As Chief Operating Officer of Austin Medicine, PLLC, Josue brings his experience in finance, operations, compliance, and business development to help take Austin Medicine to the next level, focusing on operational excellence, sustainable growth, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Outside of his professional career, Josue enjoys spending time with his wife, Lauren, their daughter, Olivia, and their dog, Ace. He enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and is a lifelong soccer fan and avid player.

Bailey Hefner
Bailey is an Austin native and the newest Patient Coordinator & Community Outreach team member!
With over 10 years of experience in customer service and as a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), she brings a passion for connecting with people, building meaningful relationships, and helping others feel supported and cared for. She loves being part of a community, creating welcoming experiences, and making a positive difference in people's lives. Her interest in health and wellness extends beyond the workplace, and she is excited to combine her background in client care with her passion for helping others live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Outside of work, Bailey enjoys live music, Pilates, traveling, and spending time outdoors. She is always happy to meet new people and believes that a little connection and kindness can go a long way!
